Dinner in New York City

We started off the new year in New York City!

The Coopers and friends in New York City.

My son Will and I traveled by train one afternoon to visit with friends vacationing in the big apple and to catch ‘dinner and show’ in Times Square. Just two blocks from our friend’s hotel was Ellen’s Stardust Diner. Our Broadway caliber waitress delivered burgers, bbq, and waffles in between song sets where she and others members of the waitstaff entertained us with classic Broadway tunes.

As you can see by the onlookers in the background of our photo, the line for the diner wraps around the building as seating in the restaurant is at a premium. Additional seating is available upstairs in the diner – where groups are welcomed too.

For the quintessential New York City trip,  you’ll want to visit many of the iconic landmarks NYC is known for – Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, 9/11 Memorial Museum, the Empire State building, and Broadway.
